Outer: Natural sheep and bovine leather (strips forming the diamond pattern and piping around the buttonholes).
Inner: Cotton, wool, and acrylic blend.
Lining: Breathable fiber.
Buttons: Metal with a rustic finish.
Sleeves secured with two detachable buckles.
Extra underarm protection to prevent penetration.
Use: The purpose of this garment, like all my designs, is to protect the fencer during practice. However, some of my clients who don't fence also wear it as everyday clothing.
This design requires a significant amount of material and, above all, many hours of work.
The default opening is for right-handed fencers, but it can also be configured for left-handed fencers.
Aside from the three additional layers of the vest, you can also see that the leather straps are almost a fourth protective layer. The shoulders have three more layers, the collar overlaps by 14 cm at the center front, and the sides of the vest overlap by about 10 cm.
